How is FILS Done?
- Examination: First, the patient's acne scars and skin type are analyzed using a skin analysis device.
- Fractional Laser: In the first session, fractional laser is used to create micro-damage on the skin’s surface. This helps to smooth out the scars.
- Fat and Stem Cell Injection: During the same session, fat is taken from the abdomen under local anesthesia. This fat is processed to enrich it with stem cells and then injected into the scarred areas. The fat can also be used to add volume to areas like the under-eyes and cheeks.
Duration of FILS Treatment
The treatment takes around 2 hours. This includes numbing the skin, performing the laser treatment, extracting and processing the fat, and injecting it into the skin. FILS is an effective treatment for acne scars, offering both surface and deep healing for lasting improvement.
