Upper Eyelid Surgery

This surgery is performed to correct excess skin and sagging of the upper eyelid. The skin on the upper eyelid becomes loose and sags over time. While this problem can be eased with applications such as bx in early periods, upper eyelid surgery becomes necessary in later periods. The sagging of the upper eyelid not only causes aesthetic difficulty but may also impair your eyesight. Excess skin comes over your eyelashes and reduces your eyesight. In addition, these excesses cause fatigue by weighing on your upper eyelid. With upper eyelid surgery, you can restore your previous lively looks.

What is Upper Eyelid (blepharoplasty) Surgery?

Upper eyelid surgery is a procedure to remove excess skin, fat and muscle tissue in this area. During surgery, incisions are usually made in the natural crease line or in the natural fold line of the lid, thus making the scars invisible.

This surgery provides a younger, fresh and aesthetic appearance of the eyelid. Upper eyelid surgery is performed under local anaesthesia and takes about 30 minutes.

Postoperative recovery is usually rapid and patients can usually return to normal activities within a few days.
